The people at Central Aroostook Humane Society go way above and beyond to provide care and love to all the animals they shelter. They are tireless advocates for animals in need! I will sing their praises forever for keeping my sweet kitty safe until we met and she adopted me.

I’ve been fortunate to have played a small part in this helping hand of a business since I was just barely 10 years old when the wonderful now manager, Betsy, first started here. I’ve seen first hand for years on end the commitment, compassion, and just complete devotion every employee has given to ensure the best for every fur baby they’ve had the opportunity to help home and take care of. Truly a great business, great staff, and absolutely deserving of any help they can receive to help those who can help themselves.

I have adopted several cats from the shelter. The shelter is clean, the animals are visibly well taken care of and the staff members are kind and pleasant.

I have always adopted my pets from this shelter. They continue to provide a level of care for all animals that is second to none. I also appreciate the volunteer aspect they incorporate to ensure their animals receive adequate attention and socialization.

I adopted my two cats from the shelter and everyone there was just so kind not only to me but to the two sisters I adopted they made sure they had their blanket and toys with them when they left so they had something of their own while coming to a new place. From what one of the volunteers said was that my girls came in and were very skittish and didn’t want human contact if it wasnt for them they wouldn’t be the outgoing snuggle bugs that I have.

CAHS does amazing work rescuing and rehoming Aroostook County’s unwanted animals. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about animal welfare.

We visit the Central Aroostook Humane Society often to play with the cats and dogs. We recently adopted a kitty and couldn’t be happier with her. This place is super clean and the animals are as happy as they can be considering their circumstances.

I have adopted three beautiful babies from the Central Aroostook Animal Shelter, Spike, Matilda and Natasha. The are all wonderfully healthy babies and were so well taken care of at the shelter. That you for all you do for the strays, homeless and unwanted pets.
