Ridgecrest animal shelter has always been wonderful when I’ve been looking for a new fur baby. (My 2 cats are from there) They work very hard to place dogs and cats. Doing adoption events at different businesses to raise awareness.

The work hard to reunite pets with owners and adopt out pets. They have many community events. They’re always very nice when people go in to adopt pets. I got a wonderful dog from there.

The shelter is very proactive about getting the animals adopted out. I love the kitty I got from there a year ago. Looking to get another one. Animals are well-kept, clean, and get a lot of loving from volunteers.

I am a huge fan of the Ridgecrest Animal Shelter!! I hope they win the award! The people there are always so nice….and they take great care of the poor animals waiting for homes there. The dog kennels and cat crates have always been clean anytime I’ve ever gone out there! Love them!

(Words from my cat I got from this shelter 3/2016)
Hello, My name is Bell a month ago I made it into the shelter. I have a microchip and my owners choose not to come get me. I sat in the shelter for a month. I gave up getting up and meeting people as they came by my kennel. The shelter workers were nice. They loved on me and pet me whenever they could. Last Friday a couple came in to look at kitties. It turns out the kitty they got 14 years prior from here had just passed away. The man had forced the woman to come look at the kitties. I was scared and sad and would not come to the front of the kennel. Mary at the shelter was nice enough to let this couple pull me out and love on me and see the true type of cat I am. I was then adopted. Taken to a strange place with other strange animals. I’m starting to get comfortable, the smell of the dogs don’t make me shake in fear anymore. I’m getting obsessed with the little girls that live here. And now I have a new name, Tinker Bell. They call me Tinker or Tink. I’m starting to love it. Please when you go to look for new animals try a shelter. Save a life. I’m so glad to know I am in a forever home and will never be given up again!!!

This shelter goes above and beyond to get animals adopted and/or fostered. The kennels and cat cages are exceptionally clean and animals are given exercise whenever possible.

We have the best little animal shelter here in Ridgecrest! The animals are all well cared for and loved. We love that the shelter truly does do their best to find loving homes for these fur babies. The staff are always courteous and friendly and do the best they can….you can tell they genuinely love the animals. We would surely be lost without this shelter and I support it 100%….good job guys and gals 🙂

all the people that work and volunteer at the Ridgecrest Animal Shelter are the greatest, kindness and truly caring animal lovers. They go out of thier way to help all the animals find a forever home. The shelter is always clean and the animals get great care.

They have a spay/neuter voucher program. They have no – cost or low-cost adoptions. They treat the animals as if they are their own.

I help with animal rescue and in finding rescues for shelter animals. I am impressed at the care the animals get at this shelter, the caring hearts of the staff and the fact that they even do home checks for the potential adopters of their animals. They should be a model for other high kill shelters. This shelter does everything possible to keep the animals alive and get them adopted into loving/safe homes.

The shelter took fantastic care of my kitten Sini, before I ever even knew she would be mine! Kind and courteous staff who obviously loves animals.
