Donate a wood smoker grill to bayada nurses to help raise money for the Alzheimer\’s foundation. My boys love getting their hair cuts. Even if it\’s a long wait they don\’t mind. Great place for them to hangout before the cuts

Have been to a few local shops and this by far is the most professional shop. Me and my children always feel welcome as soon as we come through the door. Not only are the haircuts top notch but fthe owner frank is continuously giving back to the community. He provided free haircuts to single mothers on Christmas, had a community day where he provided free haircuts to the entire community on a Saturday and also fed them and now he is taking his team and providing free haircuts to the homeless in Philadelphia. This shop is very deserving of any awards.

Frank is not only a great barber but gives back to the community and others! Reaches out to the youth to encourage them and teach them! Just an overall amazing person and great staff as well!

I love coming down to see the ATG crew. This guys are so personable and make you feel comfortable. They take there time with each cut individualizing each one. When you think it can’t get any better they go one step above and behind and make sure those other kiddos that may not be able to afford it still look fresh!

The only Barber Shop in Central Pa that has one of the BEST barbers & human beings I’ve ever met in my entire life. Frank is the only Barber I trust to cut my hair. Absolutely love this shop. Awesome atmosphere, great location not hard to find at all. All around number 1 spot 100%

This barbershop is the place to go!! Very nice barbers. Especially frankie he is so nice to my children and very patient with them! Its pretty awesome when your children look forward to a haircut!! Keep up the good work guys! You have lifelong customers with us!!

Against the Grain not only helps with aesthetics but they contribute with internal beauty by helping those in need. Additionally, my son has never received a more precise haircut than he has from Frank.

Frank is such a down to earth guy and takes professinalism to a whole other level.
First time I went into his shop, I got treated like a king. Walked out feeling like a million bucks.
My two year old loves going there too and recently got his hair cut there. He was so cool and chill in the chair. He didn’t even cry once. Everywhere else, he cried. But not with Frank.

Against the Grain is a “minority” owned business in central PA that goes above and beyond just their expert classic and trending cuts to serving and engaging their local community. The owner and barbers are true artists and have a heart for bringing community together through local charity cuts & neighborhood cookout events and teaming up with other regional barbers to provide cuts for the homeless. As an educator, I know the importance for at risk youth (there are too many in this economically depressed town) to see positive examples of passion in a career, artistry, community responsibility and mentorship such as the employees of Against the Grain provide. This is a success story in small town PA where we need heros of all types. May they receive the recognition they deserve.

I love bringing my boys to this shop….they make you feel so comfortable. Never disrespectful or trash talking about others. Great atmosphere and amazing barbers! Awesome at what they do! So glad they are around..they definitely deserve this award!!! 100%
