I have been volunteering for Animal Allies Florida going on 3 years. I am constantly amazed by the compassion, dedication, knowledge, and deep love shown by everyone associated with this rescue, especially by its founder Sharyn Teri Berg who is the glue holding all of us together! The kitties are so lucky to be here!

Animal Allies is a great organization. A no kill rescue that has helped a lot of animals in the Pensacola area. The founder, Sharyn Berg, works tirelessly to help animals. She has been known to get out of bed early in the morning to rescue an animal. This is an outstanding organization.

Besides the foster/home programs, Animal Allies is great at educating and helping concerned people work with stray animals – in my case, a feral colony of 11 cats that I was able to get fixed and to tame 5 enough to be pets. Great advice and dedicated core group of volunteers!

Animal Allies is committed to spay and neuter and finding homes for adoptable cats as well as trap, neuter and return of community cats.
They reach out to help community members who have kittens Born in their yards to get them defleaed, vaccinated and fixed and adopted thru their Adoption Events! All of this lightens the load on the local kill shelters.
They have won more than $30000 in grant money to spay and neuter peoples pets and free roaming community cats in Escambia and santarosa counties.
They call you back when in need.
They lead a weekly free trap, neuter and return class to help people get a plan .

This organization has helped so many abandon and abused animals to find homes and get the vet they need. They helped me in getting cats from school so they would not be taken to the shelter and put down. I love Animal Allies and am grateful for all they do to help the animals in our community.

One of the best animal rescues in this area. Promotes spay and neuter of pets along with TNR for feral cats to stop overpopulation.

The founder of this wonderful rescue goes above and beyond in the care of the animals in her rescue. She is the true definition of ‘no kill’ and has spent thousands of dollars providing the BEST care to animals that would be deemed ‘unadoptable’. This is also a fantastic place to Volunteer because she treats her volunteers with respect and listens – she is a true gem. There is no ‘drama’ involved amongst the group and the number one priority is always in caring for the animals in the rescue! I cannot adequately express how much I love this rescue!!!

Animal Allies Florida was founded by a gem. Sharyn Berg has multiple houses where volunteers come in for their daily shifts caring for these precious animals. She will do everything in her power to give a rescued animal a chance at a forever home, and if she doesn’t find one, then they get to live out their lives in wonderful care from multiple volunteers. No animal is euthanized unless it is to relieve the animal of pain from a terminal illness. This is a no-kill facility. When I contacted the founder about a hoarding situation 3 years ago, she rolled up her sleeves and went to work when other rescues told me to just call animal control. 90+ animals were removed from the residence and we only lost one to an inoperable mammary tumor. I hope you consider celebrating Animal Allies Florida.
