Animal Rescue of Fresno

We have adopted 2 dogs from ARF. They are just the best adoption facility. They really get to know you to make sure your home is a good fit for the dog you want to adopt. It’s an easy process and the people that work/volunteer there are lovely. They are good to their dogs and other pets at the facility and you can tell by the animals demeanor. They deserve 5 stars.

My friend Donna adopted a dog from ARF when they first moved to their present location. Best dog ever!!!! And then my mom adopted a Chihuahua (better said that Roses Graces adopted my mom….she jumped in her lap and refused to leave!) Great place and great people. Thank you so much for your wonderful work ethic.

I am a long time supporter of ARF and have seen their amazing work helping animals but never had to ask for help until earlier this year. I had a Yorkie since puppyhood and loved her tremendously. Unfortunately she was aggressive with my chihuahua and terrorized my chickens. ARF staff located and screened potential adopters and facilitated a meet and greet. I met the new parents and felt confident they would be excellent parents. I’m still grieving having to give her up but I’m sure she is loved where she lives now. The adoptive parents were repeatedly made aware if for any reason they no longer wanted to care for the dog to bring her back. That is a life time commitment for one dog. ARF has had this same commitment for countless dogs who have passed through their gates. Plus, I appreciate their services to Fresno’s most vulnerable citizens, our homeless pet population. Not to mention the countless trips out of the State to ensure the dogs get the best homes possible. ARF deserves recognition for a job well done.

I love any rescue center for animals. But, I have one very special reason for loving ARF! I adopted a very skinny small dog, that was very timid about five or six years ago. She was scheduled to be euthanized very soon. Fortunately ARF saved her and I got to adopt her, and we are living happily ever after! I have several other dogs but none behave as well as Daisy does. She is a true sweetheart that is still coming out of her shell.

I adopted my dog there last summer. I saw her on Petfinder and went into petsmart, where they were stationed for foot traffic, and instantly fell in love. I learned that she had been previously adopted to “cat people” who did not like her chasing the cats, so they locked her up in a cat carrier all day. The previous owners then brought her back and ARF thankfully put them on the do not adopt list and helped her recover. The previous owners came back and “wanted to try again” and I’m so glad they didn’t let them. I adopted her and she has been my ESA dog for anxiety and depression. She has been wonderful and they trained her well. The process was amazing and Mindi was very helpful. I am so happy with my experience and if I could rescue them all I would! ARF is amazing!! ❤

We adopted our dog Luna (aka Pipper) 3 years ago from Arf. The people there were so patient with us as we made our decision. Took us three different visits. As it turns out, we ended up with a dog we love and wouldn\\\’t trade her for the world. Thank you ARF!!!!
