Ed has helped me to understand triggers to some of my foster dogs’ behaviors which helped to help them and to improve and resolve some issues. Makes fostering much easier when I have Ed as a resource.

Ed has helped us with so many fosters and our own dogs. He helps the humans and dogs learn new tricks. Ed is very knowledgeable in dog manurizums and body language.

Big Ed takes on the dogs/rescues that have been through a lot of trauma and he does not give up on them. He helped me with a rescue called Lacey (German Shepherd/Malmute/Australian Shepherd mix) that everyone was afraid of including my vet… and no one wanted to deal with her because she growled and snarled at everyone. The behaviorists wanted to medicate her and that was not the way that I wanted to go. We were blessed to find Big Ed & and he knew exactly what was going on in her head and helped my understand my role in her recovery. Needless to say, she is now my best friend and companion. We live in a very busy townhome community and take our walks every day. She is a safe dog – and with what Big Ed taught us she is essentially non-reactive. She has been going to K9 nose-work classes and loves her work and is quite accomplished! Without Big Ed – none of this would have been possible. We Love you Big Ed! Terri and Lacey

Ed is amazing and has a true gift for what he does. He works with the basics all the way up to extreme concerns. He has been dead on every time and is great with how he is able to help pet people become more knowledable and truly understand how dogs work and react. We will always have Ed work with any of our dogs and we love his training days that he teaches the basics and helps humans understand dogs in a fun but very easily understandable way.

Ed is an incredible trainer who truly treats each dog he works with as an individual. He meets each dog where they are and works with the owner and dog on a plan of what simply makes sense. Sadly, Ed is the last stop for dogs with progressed behavior issues and has rehabilitated countless dogs who have been given the chance at having a loving family, because of Ed. I have worked with Ed personally and professionally and could not be more proud to be associated with such an incredible business and person. Not only does Ed continue to work with my dog through past abuse and neglect, he works with me on how to have a better life with my dog and meeting his needs where he is today. Ed has and will go to the end of the earth to help a dog and has been INVALUABLE to the Chicagoland rescue community.

Ed helped our dog Rudy so much. Before Ed, he wasn’t very good on leash/walks and would get anxious around other dogs while on walks. With Ed’s help, Rudy is so much better on leash, he doesn’t pull and he knows now to trust us when he’s around other dogs. I recommend Ed to all my friends. Thank you Ed!

I adopted a Pitbull from a rescue 3 years ago,(not my first) .Having completed the course with the designated trainer; I was still having issues with my dog regarding other dogs. Avoiding all other animals as I was told was not an option, neither was giving him back! I signed up for classes at “Big Ed’s” hoping for the best, and thinking at least it ‘s reasonably priced, and his website is really impressive. When my Husband and I attended the first class without our dog as told , I knew then we had found the right place. In a relaxed atmosphere Ed talked about dogs; what to expect and our role as responsible leaders. When we arrived at the next class with our dog who had been labeled “reactive” by others, Ed greeted us at the car and walked our dog out to the yard among other dogs and people! In less than 5 minutes we were told ” He’s not reactive, just nervous and unsure. That energy is coming from you”. He was right , and throught the remaining weeks of class Ed kept us in check when our focus drifted, while giving personal attention to everyone. Working with dogs and their people is not just a job for Ed, it is a passion and the proof is in the results!!

Big Ed is my HERO. His gone to extrodinay lenghts to help save countless animals lives and showed them love and kindness. He trains them so they go to there forever homes. HE IS TRULY ON OF GOD’S ANGELS! !!!!!

Ed has been my favorite go to dog trainer for a few years. He offers practical advice and training techniques that the average dog owner is able to utilize at home. He is encouraging, firm and positive and easily approachable. In addition, he has always made himself available to offer guidance to those in the rescue community. I consider him not only a great trainer but a friend as well. Hands down he is 5 stars in my book.

Ed is absolutely amazing!!!! Without even meeting my dogs, he helped me with them and brought our family back together as one!! He took the time out of his evening to talk with me about how to help our 2 dogs get along! My girls are now getting along and loving each other again thanks to Ed!!!
