The Shelter is an invaluable source for me as a senior teacher. Mrs. Mudd helps guide many students every year through their senior project volunteering at the shelter. My students always gain empathy for animals and learn the importance of the Shelter to the community. Mrs. Mudd is so professional and goes above and beyond helping these students and providing them with a valuable volunteer experience for their senior projects. I know my students will have an appreciation for community service and animals throughout their lives because of their experience at the Shelter.

I am a volunteer at the shelter and am impressed with the amt of training the staff receives in the newest behavioral strategies and health care to keep the beloved animals emotionally and physically well until they are adopted.

I adopted my Sweet William 4 years ago. He was found literally starving to death. The staff and volunteers saved him and loved him until he was ready to be adopted. I was lucky enough to bring him home to his forever home.

They are wonderful with the animals that are there. I adopted two rescue kitties last July and was impressed that they followed up to be sure the kittens were taken to the vet, and to find out if they were adjusting to their new home.

Cherokee animal shelter takes great care in finding the perfect match between pets and humans. They have always been grateful for donations brought in from the public and helps distribute what they don’t use back to those in need. Great shelter!
