we moved to Cookeville about 1.5 years ago. Have helped out at the shelter. Have been totally impressed with every aspect of the shelter. It is well run, the workers are professional and caring. Most importantly, the animals have a safe, clean and loving environment to live in. That is something I can vouch for. I have worked in animal rescue for a long time. I fully believe in The Cookeville/Putnam Animal shelter

I volunteer at the shelter and have found that everyone there from staff to volunteers truly care about the animals and only want what is best for them. It is not an easy job but everyone does it well.
