We visited in May and floyds barber shop was the best part of the trip. Bill was a sweetheart. They were very friendly and made us feel at home. Love floyds barber shop.

Bill, is a lot like his dad. When you come in to Floyd’s you are greeted with a smile. Floyd’s is a place to go back to, no matter if are from here or from out of town.

Been getting haircuts at Floyds for nearly 20 years. It\\\’s like a home away from home. Meeting so many people from all over and remembering all the good times.

My wife and I have visited the shop two times. Bill and staff made us feel like family. We sat in Floyd’s (Russell’s) chair and took our picture and proudly showed in on Facebook. Many pictures and gifts that have been given over the years. Sadly we didn’t get to meet Russell but again Bill made you feel special. If you have not gone please go it is a must stop attraction.

The history behind this shop is so woven into the fiber that is Mt. Airy, NC. It is original, like it has always been, and “not a hair on it’s head has been changed.” You will be welcomed with open arms, and be educated on the shop’s history by Hall of Fame member Russell Hiatt\’s son, Bill, who continues to carry on his father’s legacy. I have been to Mt. Airy 18 times, and this is always on the list.
