Flying Cat is like Cheers- the proprietor, Jan, knows her customers, engages with them in a personal and friendly way- banter is a mainstay. The coffees and teas and treats and eats all are delicious! It\’s a comfy place to stop in for a minute, or hang out for an hour of more. Truly a wonderful neighborhood cafe that I shamelessly drive to from SW Portland!

Flying Cate Cafe is a wonderful little gem in SE Portland! A friend of mind discovered it years ago as a quiet place to study. I met friends there weekly for a cup of coffee and a tasty morning treat. There is sometimes lovely live acoustic music on weekends. I have since moved away, and definitely miss this place.

Best atmosphere, feels like a living room. Oh and the coffee is great too.
