Friends of the Taunton Animal Care Facility

The staff is fantastic! They really go out of their way to provide the best care for the animals. We have adopted several cats and dogs over the years and have been delighted with each. What\’s really nice is that the shelter does not give the animals a \’shelf life\’ before the decision is made to put them down. Instead, staff patiently waits until the right person or family comes in. This means, in some cases, many, many months elapse. Isn\’t that great? There is truly someone out there for that pet, if only time is given to make the match. I also can\’t say enough about the volunteers. Personable and hard-working, they always put the animals\’ needs before all else. How lucky is Taunton to have an animal shelter like this? Pretty damn lucky.

I found Olive at Taunton Animal Care. Before she arrived, Olive had been abused and abandoned in an apartment. She was seized by the authorities and brought to the shelter. I was told by the caring staff that she was afraid to leave her crate upon her arrival. Thanks to the caring staff and volunteers, Olive eventually was able to go on walks at the facility and begin to trust again. They knew that Olive could not be placed with an inexperienced guardian and were very thorough in vetting me as a potential adopter of this special girl. Although Olive had a few issues adjusting to life away from Taunton Animal Rescue, the only safe place she ever called home, a little patience was all she needed. I am SO thankful to the staff and volunteers at Taunton Animal Shelter for the great care and time spent with my girl! They were there for her when she needed them and are a special group of people!

The Taunton Animal Care Facility is wonderful. They truly care about the placement of their animals. I cannot say enough good things about Diane, the woman who works with the cat program. These poor animals are SO very fortunate to end up at this shelter!!!

3 years ago, I decided to get a shelter dog. Found one I liked, but was going on vacation for 3 weeks. When I returned, I checked the site again, and “Mona” was still there. I swear she was waiting for me. I was told she was attached to an employee there, but I decided to go and take her for a walk anyway. She tried to jump into my car right away ! Fell in love with her, adopted her, and “Zoey” has been the sweetest dog ever ! Thanks to the Taunton Animal Care Facility.

Taunton Animal Care Facility is an amazing organization. They are dedicated to assisting the homeless pet population find forever homes. They do great work!

Taunton animal facility has caring staff that really love the snkmdks they care for. They take very good care of all the animals. This is my favorite shelter to donate to because I can see where my donations go to help the animals.

This is the best little shelter in the world. My two present rescue are from here, along with many past fur babies that have gone to rainbow bridge. They have the most loving staff and volunteers, and I have adopted the best fur babies frlm here.

Nearly 9 years ago, I adopted my beloved barn cats (who have since moved into the house and now sleep on the bed at night). The shelter workers and volunteers truly love all of the animals that come through their doors and work hard to find them all suitable homes.

To assist in the adoption process of the Taunton Animal Care Facility’s shelter animals is the primary goal of the Friends of the Taunton Animal Care’s mission. Its members are dedicated to having this mission a working reality each day. Social media exposure, medical support and care giving are the foundations. A good group of people.

The Taunton Animal Shelter is one of a kind with this special volunteers who goes out of their way week in week out. I love they show for their fur friends is amazing from all the stories I hear especially the dog that I adopted from them ,Archie. Seems they all had wonderful and exceptional care

The Friends of the Taunton Animal shelter are hard dedicated people who help the animals in our local area. I can say that every one of my pets has come from them and they have taken amazing care of them until we adopted from them.
