Humane Society of Lake County does wonders for saving lives! They rescue as many dogs and cats from being euthanized as they possibly can. Their facility is always clean. They do as much as they possibly can to get these animals adopted into loving homes!

Everyone at the shelter are so caring and loving for each animal. We can tell that they take special care of each animal, every time we take our dog to an event that the shelter holds our dog runs up to each worker like they are her best friend. After 7 months if our dog can remember each employee we can tell they take the extra time to give each animal lots of love.

The Humane Society of Lake County is 100% for helping animals in need. They are a small shelter with a BIG heart. All animals in their care are well taken care of and loved until they find a home. Visit them for your next companion!

I’ve had the pleasure of adopting my last Chih. from the Humane Society of Lake County Florida.
Lizzie brings me joy every single day. The director worked out the details, to coordinate transportation for Lizzie, from Florida to South Carolina.
I was updated with pictures, text messages, and the location of Lizzie, before she arrived to me. It was a pleasure and refreshing to work with an organization that truly goes above and beyond. I often recommend my friends from Florida adopt from the best.

I adopted my Asher from HSLC in September and he is a Sumter survivor. Angie and her team do a wonderful job with the animals in their care and I see them everywhere around town. They attend as many events as possible and work hard to make sure that each of their charges have a solid, safe and loving home forever. You can see the love in everything they do!!!!

I have found these folks to be extremely helpful and caring. They really love the animals that come in or are just dropped off outside during the night, and give them the love and care they deserve. The place is kept very clean, and there are also many exercise areas for the animals.

Humane Society of Lake County Florida is heroic. They consistently rescue the dogs and cats no one else chooses at a high kill rural public shelter in a neighboring county and then they match them with adopters who will love and care for them. This can take months sometimes but to them, it’s a joy to know the dogs and cats in their care. Their employees and volunteers are kind, welcoming, and their love for the animals is so apparent. I’m honored to know them and to know we can rely on them to come through for the little souls who need it most. Angie Klein has a team like no other.
