Jason is smart, caring, sensitive, extraordinarily expert as a stylist and colorist, and is as respectful with his colleagues as he is with his clientelel. He uses excellent products in the salon and offers a wonderful choice of such for retail sale. He always takes time to suggest one or another for a client and explains why this one might be more appropriate than that one. His salon supports local artists and artisans as well as local events designed to help out a person or persons in need. To top it all off, Jason is as funny as hell and has had me wiping tears of laughter from my face. Walking into Northern Highlights to be cared for by Jason with his scissors and Laura Parmigiani with her body care is like coming into a neighbour’s home, a caring, loving space where every visit is a celebration of life with its joy, laughter and pain. Beautiful, I say.

One day I went there and there was this little doggie running around. It was awesome. They now have a nail technician and I can’t wait to get my nails done. I have always found it near impossible to find a place where I enjoy having my hair done and not feeling worried over what I might end up with. I have gone to ‘reputable’ places before and ended up having it burnt off or just terrible.
I took a chance on a referral with this location and it has been one of the best choices. I have gone a couple times now, but every time that I do go I no longer worry about how I can fix what might happen. Now I just get excited. The other thing that I like is that sometimes they tell you no. It honestly is sometimes one of the best thing that your hair dresser can tell you. Sometimes our hair just can’t handle some of the trends today or it has to be done gradually.
It’s an additional bonus that I find everyone is very friendly and thankfully they are slowly growing and adding to their services.
