Ollie’s Place is very unique in New York City for cats. It is staffed by volunteers who take good care of the animals. The cats live in a home-like environment to prepare them for adoption or foster program. Ollie’s place is a no-kill organization dedicated to rescue and rehabilitate the New York City stray cats. Visitors are welcome to interact with the animals 7 days a week.

Ollie’s rescues cats from the streets of New York and New Jersey and cares for them until they are adopted. It is run by volunteers who love all the cats until they find their forever home. It is such a caring place and we need it to always be around, for the cats and the humans who love them.

This is an amazing, humane shelter that takes cats regardless of their age or issues and provides them with a warm, loving temporary home on the way to their forever one. I’ve been by here a few times and the staff are sweet, helpful and really make sure customers and cats are satisfied. Also: very clean. One of if not the best shelters in Manhattan, by far.

We have been going to Ollie\\\’s for years because the staff are friendly, they let you interact with cats all you want, and they trully care about all the animals. They take their time to keep the place clean, the cats well fed, groomed, nurtured and cared for. Their love and dedication to all the animals is palpable and contagious. Ollie\\\’s is a cat (and human) heaven.

Ollie’s rescued our beloved little guy, Bugsy (formerly known as Pierre). They took such great care of him, giving him a chance at a long, happy, and healthy life. He is the heart of our little family and we can’t imagine life without him. Thank you to Ollie’s for being such an amazing rescue and adoption organization!!

I adopted a cat from Ollie’s Place a few years ago. The staff was so helpful – really helped me find the right cat. You could tell how much they love the animals they rescue and how hard they work to find them the right forever home!

Ollie’s is an amazing place that gives cats a chance to live in close to home environment before being adopted. It’s mainly volunteer run and all the people working there love the cats and can advise to make the best choice based on cats’ personalities. the adoption process is strict to make sure people do not return the cat back to the shelter and can provide them with a safe environment. Amazing place worth visiting!

We adopted our amazing kitty Pat from Ollie’s Place and loved the whole experience. I think it’s a great place for the cats to wait for their forever homes!
