Pet Pantry does a wonderful job with their animals. Compared to some other local adoption agencies, they are a well run and efficient organization. Another local adoption agency took weeks to approve my application for a cat. They couldn’t find my application and it was very hard to get in contact with them. While they meant well, it was very frustrating.
Pet Pantry does a better job with their Facebook page to keep the public updated on new cats with good descriptions of them. My only suggestion would be to say which adoption center they are located, if possible. I know it might be hard because the cats sometimes move to different locations. But sometimes I would see a cat I liked, and didn’t know which location to go to.
Pet Pantry called me the next day after my application to say I was approved. The animals are in very clean cages and the staff seem to know them very well. They do their best to socialize the cats in foster homes before bringing them to adoption centers. They don’t give up on senior cats or those with special needs. I felt good about adopting our cat Brenna, because I knew if I didn’t work out with my other cat, that I could bring her back and they would find her a good home. We are hoping it works out!

As a volunteer I\\\’ve seen firsthand how passionate, hardworking and loving the staff is. Even through the most trying of situations they always think about the animals first and themselves last. They do everything they possibly can to help people in our community keep their pets in their homes. As the Pet Pantry\\\’s mission states, they feed, fix, and rescue but I would add they also try to educate the people they come in contact with and always show nothing but compassion, respect and love to them and their fur babies. No organization is more deserving of recognition than the Pet Pantry.

In October I had the good fortune to adopt Chubbs the sweetest cat. A volunteer at Pet Pantry thought we might be a match and he was so right. I could tell she was very well taken care of during her stay at Pet Pantry. I consider myself very fortunate to have her in my life.

The Pet Pantry absolutely has it ALL. Just to name a few things: The thrift shop has everything from treats to beds, clothes to collars, medicines to toys, and you won’t find a lower price in the County for them!!
You can donate something and take home a bag of homemade treats.
You can visit with the available cats on-site. To adopt or to cuddle for a bit. If you have an emergency, they won’t turn you away.
The Pet Pantry has a heart to big to calculate! Proof of that can be found/heard all over the County if you just listen.

Well, there are the obvious reasons with all that they do to help others that are in need. I”ll talk about the un-obvious reasons, such as, when you leave you may pick up a small bag of home-made treats to take to your beloved pets! The thrift shop has 100’s of items that are so inexpensive, you’d be a fool to shop anywhere else BUT Ts. It goes above and beyond the standarHERE FIRST!! The savings are incredible, truly! You meet new friends and meet old friends. There is always some one/thing new to get involved with, if you so choose. I’m just so thankful that The Pet Pantry is there, for me and for otherd. Always!!!

I was recommended to seek services through PPLC when I was let go from my job in 2014. Mel and her staff never made me feel less of a person because I needed help. Because of them, I was able to feed and keep my pets. I don’t know how I would have done it otherwise. I have tried to give back when I can, volunteering at PPLC. I have seen first hand how caring, and truly committed the entire staff is devoted to their mission. But it’s more than that…there is a feeling of love that is palatable. Love for your fellow human and love for God’s creature’s that can’t speak for themselves. They are heard at PPLC.

Pet Pantry provides so many much needed services to pets and their owners. They have a monthly food distribution so those struggling can keep their pets in their home, emergency and low cost vet services, TNR services, and (most important to me) a no-kill rescue and shelter.

Pet pantry actually takes the time to work with the pets that they adopt out. When I was looking for a kitten, I was stunned on how friendly their cats were. I didn’t incounter a unfriendly cat in their shelter! I’m impressed by their dedication to give pets homes

I love that they have vet services at their facility, and they help an animal if at all possible. Cost is not the factor, if the animal has a chance at life they will help it. I love working with the other volunteers there, it’s a great group of people. Everyone comes together to get the jobs done, whatever they might be.
They help people keep their pets in their homes by providing monthly food rations, so people with low income do not have to give up their pets to a shelter.
They also help by having a TNR program to help the feral cat population. These cats can continue living out their lives without reproducing, and remain healthy and happy.
They are one of the best organizations in our state in my opinion. The fill the need!

I have been volunteering with the Pet Pantry for several years now, and I can tell you, it has many wonderful volunteers and staff that really care about the work they do and the animals they help. The Pet Pantry has 3 main components. First, there is a food program that gives food to low income families who’d otherwise need to give up their pets. Next there is a vet clinic that spays and neuters many community pets for a lower cost. And they also run a rescue that re-homes many cats, and the occasional dog each year. All cats get an excellent vet treatment and are adopted out spayed or neutered, up to date on shots, and microchipped.

I have been a volunteer almost from the beginning. LOVE the compassion to help needy families or helping animals that their own vets turned away because they couldn\’t pay.

Pet Pantry does an excellent job of meeting the need for pets and their families. Between the food distribution program for owners suffering financial hardship and the low cost spay/neuter clinic they help many animals stay in their homes and prevent unwanted puppies and kittens. Not to mention the adoption program which finds fantastic homes for cats in need.
