We have adopted 2 rabbits from Red Door, and had a great experience! They are always there to help you make an informed decision, answer questions about care, and provide boarding care during vacations. They also have “Spa Days” once every 3 months where they provide grooming services and adorable themed pictures!

Red Door truly cares about the comfort, safety, and most important- the love they provide for their animals. They dedicate the time to get to know each and every animal, in order to pair them up with their perfect fur-ever home! A Red Door animal is so loved, and in turn will provide their fur-ever home with that same love.

Red Door rescued, gave shelter and care to the 3 buns that I adopted. They constantly make space to take in more homeless animals and organize search parties to rescue domestic rabbits that were tossed out into the wild. My #1 shelter!

Red Door has helped us find a mate for our Peter through their knowledge in bunny dating. We have fostered & volunteered for Red Door because we know when there’s a rabbit in need especially those found outside, they step up & take them in even when full.

Red Door is a fantastic place for anyone who has or is considering having a bunny friend in their life. You can speed date to choose your pet, and they will continue to give you support and advice before and after adoption. Best of all, these rabbits are all rescued and given a new chance at life.

This is an amazing rescue and shelter. They do a lot of events that are educational as well as to get the animals in their care adopted out. The events they do also include events that promote the ongoing well being of the adopted rescues.

They do the best job caring for these forgotten creatures. Our bun had been left outside their door with her sis and they brought them in, cleaned them up, spayed and got them perfectly potty trained. She is so well adjusted by having a stay there. I’m so sorry for the babes being left outside but grateful for Red Door for healing their personality and their bodies. I would not have a sweet bun now if it wasn’t for them. I drove over 70 miles to come to Red Door because they have buns and a great interview system. They rock!

Red Door is the unsung hero of the animal rescue world. They work tirelessly to save homeless cats, rabbits, and dogs, and do the best they can to find the perfect forever home for each animal. They deserve more recognition and more funding!!

I LOVE Red Door! We rescued our bunny from there and they are the most loving and caring rescue around. Everyone there is wonderful and the animals are loved and well taken care of. They don\’t let people adopt until a thorough interview and check to make sure the animals are going to safe and loving homes. I recommend this shelter to everyone I know. I drive 45 minutes to get there because they are just the best.

I adopted my first rabbit from them in 2007 and have been a member of the Red Door “family” ever since. It really is a family – adopters, volunteers, fosterers, fundraisers, outreach workers, board members – all focused on adoption, education, and a great passion for the animals in their care. Adoption is just the beginning.

Red door goes out of their way to educate the public about the animals. They have wonderful fundraising events and staff that truly cares. My family and I have adopted a few bunnies over the years and much of the staff have become like family to us. Couldn’t ask for a better place for the animals. There is no substitute.

The staff and volunteers at Reddoor animal shelter work day and night to help injured and abandoned animals. They also work hard to educate the public on proper rabbit care. They are the most caring, amazing people I’ve ever met and I’m glad to have been apart of this wonderful organization!

I contacted Red Door about a year after I had my first rabbit, looking to get a second as a buddy for my rabbit. they were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I went for a visit to see all the animals for adoption. ended up fostering 1 rabbit for a couple weeks and then ended up adopting a different one as a buddy for my current rabbit. they are wonderful and do such great rescue work, and they deserve more credit! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Everyone there is very dedicated to the furry friends. They are the Largest no-kill Rescue for Rabbits! They do Bunny Bonding, Bunny Yoga Classes, Bunny Rock at Lake Shore Drive (charity event) Bunny Information Seminars – I’ve had Pet Rabbits for 26 years. I love Rabbits and so does Red Door. They need a new building – help them get one!!

We adopted both of our bunnies from Red Door. After we had our first, we realized he was lonely and then went back to Red Door for “Bunny Speed Dating”. It was a great process and we were able to find the right partner for our little guy. Everyone from Red Door was very kind and patient with us throughout the process. Thank you Red Door!!

Red Door is an amazing animal shelter. We got one of our rabbits from them about a year ago and since then, their spa days have helped us groom our bunnies, they’ve been so helpful when we had rabbit questions, and they are such pleasant people to work with! When I filled out the application to adopt Poe, Toni called me and chatted with me for 45 mins about rabbit care before I came in to meet him. I appreciated the knowledge a lot!

Red Door is a wonderful shelter. They go out of their way to provide fun events for current pet owners and would be adopters. Red Door also works very hard and comminitcates very well with the community to save abandoned animals. I believe their “bunnies abandoned since Easter count” is very affective in building awareness for the careless adoption of bunnies around Easter.

Red Door is one of the only bunny shelters in the area. They cater to this underserved animal population with passion, commitment and caring! They never turn a rabbit away, and are endless advocates for rabbit welfare and ensuring the right rabbit is matched with the right adopter. I adopted my rabbit Priscilla from Red Door, and they expertly matched her with my other rabbit Bosco to ensure both rabbits would be happy with each other. When stray rabbit sightings occur, they send out rabbit action alerts via social media to help find people to rescue the animal and their volunteer program makes it possible for anyone to help in any capacity they can!
